The May event for the Trance Cafe - Newcastle Hypnosis Practice and Supervision Group is Core Transformation - Wednesday May 6th

Core Transformation is the excellent work of Connirae Andreas. This is surely one of the most profoundly connecting and deeply healing NLP / Hypnosis processes out there. And it can also ( like most healing processes ) be used to get more of what you want too.

A way to get deeply in touch with the self and discover the positive purpose and intention behind perceived problematic behaviours, emotions or thinking. Using Core Transformation process we can reach ‘core states’ and use these powerful states of being to transform old ways of being into new, congruent and healthier ways of being with a real sense of gratitude for who we are.

Entry Level : NLP Practitioner / Hypnotherapist

Hypnosis For Improving Performance

Urban superheroImage by Matti Mattila via Flickr

There are times, aren’t there when we have the skill to do something well but sometimes for whatever reason just don’t succeed.

The April Trance Cafe will explore how we can increase our possibilities of success using hypnosis and trance.

This fun packed session will discover the secret of your ‘High Performance State’ gained through practical exploration of John Grinders New Code games.  How by using light trance we can discover and recall our own states of excellence and practice an uptime walking talking trance as practised by John H Edgette a renowned psychologist and Hypnotherapist.

This months session is facilitated by my good friend and Advanced Hypnotherapist Alan Scott.

Clean Therapy ™

Iron TailImage via Wikipedia

The March event for the Trance Cafe is Clean Therapy ™.

This is the current evolution and culmination of my own experience, practice and successful application of content free therapeutic process of the previous six years.

The initial groundings were from ‘Clean Language‘ the modelled work of the late David Groves from Penny Thompson and James Lawler.

My association and work with John Grinder opened up, from this very useful beginning what Clean Elicitation ( cleanlanguage is a functional sub-set of this ) really is and can be.

The work of Lakoff and Johnson in terms of Metaphor, and my background in software engineering, physics and math allowed me to apply what is necessarily and possibly possible to this field in terms of real and likely connection.

The result is Clean Therapy. This is a provocative, opportunistic and humanistic approach to change. This is a process oriented methodology to creating and engendering change with clients and yourself - At a very, very  specific level.

The basic variables involved are time, space and ‘logical’ categories.  The level of work involved can be defined as pseudo ‘real’ or ‘metaphorical’.  All problems are shuffled to a higher or metaphorical level where the usual conscious mind processes are quite literally disengaged.

This is another way of re-quoting Einstein’s famoused words that the thinking involved in problem formulation ‘will not necessarily’ be the thinking ( actions  ) involved in problem resolution.

This workshop in March 09 will demonstrate and deliver Solution Focused Clean Therapy interventions.

There are 12 places on this event and the price is £15.00. This is a three hour training from 6-9 pm on March 4th.

Hypnosis for Health and Healing

The first TranceCafe of 2009 explores and demonstrates hypnotic processes for health and healing. The topics of the evening will explore precisely how to use your unconscious to assist and accelerate physical healing and wellbeing.

This is also about the transmissive effect of working with ‘unwell’ people from a therapist point of view and cleaning up any contamination.

A basic knowledge and experience of hypnosis is required for this session.  If attendees have something physical to work with that is good though not essential. If you have friends that have some physical symptom, fitting the descriptions below and are willing to work in front of the group please bring them with you.

Having consulted your GP, if you have any physical ailments like pain, muscle or back injury, stresses or strains that remain problematic then hypnosis may very well be one way you can re-balance your body.

If you fit this description, want to experience what hypnotic healing may do for you and are willing to work with nigel hetherington in front of the practice group then please contact nigel directly.

Hypnosis for Relaxation and Calmness

December, the traditional month for the almost obligatory strains of Christmas period shopping with non-optional queues and any amount of pre Christmas stress and pressure. Add in a pinch of doom and media gloom of the global credit crunch and simmer. A perfect recipe for increased blood pressure and short tempers.

Wouldn’t it be really good to have some alternatives? Well …

Get down to the final 2008 meeting of Newcastle’s structured hypnosis practice group to engage in varying degrees of trance for relaxation and calmness. Unlikely to change the credit crunch but pretty much guaranteed to make you feel relaxed, calm and find your centre.

Changing Bad Habits

Habbits ‘good’ or ‘bad’ are formed through repetition. A habit really does mean you can learn very well.

This months Trance Cafe will use three elements to change an old habit.

  • The Elman Induction - to induce trance
  • Alan Jones Control Room metaphor for you to ecologically make those changes happen, havent you, always know you can learn ‘habits’ really well!
  • Future rehearsal to cement a new habit in place

Reframing

Reframing is much more than putting a positive spin on negative elements. Reframing is about changing the deeper meaning to open new and expansive opportunities to what were once problem situations.

This evening we will look at two ‘provocative’ reframing patterns, two NLP reframing structures and the ‘Andy Murray’ positive outlook strategy. All wrapped up inside of hypnotic trance.
